On Tuesday, October 13, the Rotary Clubs of Healdsburg will participate in a Rotary District-wide torch relay to raise funds to end polio. This relay started in Crescent City on October 2 and will conclude in Petaluma on October 23, World Polio Day. Through the efforts of Rotary International and Rotary Clubs around the world, last year we vaccinated over 300 million children against polio. With the generous partnership of the Gates Foundation, we are able to build the infrastructure and ability to finally eradicate this disease in the last areas of the world where the wild polio virus is still present. The Gates Foundation matches every donation 2:1, so our efforts are magnified with every donation received. Donations can be made through this link: https://bit.ly/4yodTfc
