Programs and Committees:

An active Chamber community makes for a healthy business climate. As a member of the Chamber, we encourage you to take full advantage of all the opportunities to grow your business and enhance your leadership skills. Get involved by joining one of our committees — see a full description below. If you are a Chamber member and interested in getting involved with a committee, please contact the Chamber at info@healdsburg.com.

Events Committee

The Events Committee advises the board and staff of the Chamber to identify, recommend, and implement approved events to generate operating revenues for the Chamber’s budget. Events are developed and implemented with the primary goal of showcasing Healdsburg as a desirable place to visit and operate business. This committee meets once a month in person and the members are expected to volunteer in the preparation and duration of Chamber-hosted events.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee advises the board and staff of the Chamber, playing a vital role in the strategic planning of branding, marketing and communications efforts; it also makes budgeting recommendations needed to support these efforts. This committee leads both Chamber marketing initiatives as well as Stay Healdsburg’s marketing efforts to create overnight visitation in Healdsburg. This committee meets once a month and is subject to the Brown Act and the agendas can be found on our website. Due to this, all prospective committee members must apply and be approved by the Chamber Board of Directors.

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) provides a basis for the Chamber to act and influence local, state and federal government issues and have a good working relationship with its elected officials, thus creating a favorable and profitable business climate. The GAC also reviews specific business development issues and/or challenges that are brought to their attention by member businesses. The Chamber’s relationship with the city is one of mutual respect, with the understanding that the Chamber will always advocate for the business community.

Healdsburg Young Professionals Network (HYPN) Planning Committee

HYPN unites Healdsburg professionals who are committed to a standard of excellence in their profession. They cultivate peer relationships, offer support to one another and work cohesively to further businesses through networking events and programs. The HYPN Planning Committee oversees the events, marketing, communications, budget, and membership of HYPN in collaboration with Chamber staff.

District Development Advisory Committee

The District Development Program is an element of the Healdsburg Tourism Improvement District’s (Stay Healdsburg) Management Plan, an agreement entered into by the City of Healdsburg and the Healdsburg Tourism Improvement District as of January 1, 2023. District Development (DD) projects will be designed to improve the visitor experience AND increase overnight visitation at assessed lodging businesses. Working collaboratively with the City, the Chamber has developed specific DD funding criteria. The DD Advisory Committee meets to discuss applicants, processes, and procedures regarding the grants. This committee is subject to the Brown Act and is not accepting new committee members. Agendas can be found on our website.
