We want to know the mechanics of winemaking, the nuances behind our favorite vintages, and the science that creates the perfect transformation from grape to glass. Healdsburg offers you all of that and then some in February.

Test your taste buds at one of the most famous wineries in the world.

Bottling Ballet Mecanique Tasting -- every day in February at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Get a rare peek behind the curtain at this state-of-the-art bottling facility after a tour of the property, and learn about the personal significance every wine label has to Francis Ford Coppola.

Wine, Whim & Song -- Feb. 8 at 3 p.m.
Meld wine and music, and learn how the two influence one another through a blindfolded sensory experience centered on tasting wine while listening to a variety of music. Will the music you hear influence what you taste in a wine, and vice versa? Find out. Reservations required.

Tasting in the Dark -- Feb. 21 at 1 p.m.
Turn off the lights and turn up the aromas and flavors in wine. Hoby Wedler, a blind graduate student from UC Davis, will be your guide through this unique experience. Reservations required.

Soil Matters: Appellation Wine Tasting -- Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Beyond Healdsburg

Once Healdsburg has whetted your appetite for classy and entertaining wine events, take an adventure to the Wine Road in northern Sonoma County. Sample wines, chat it up with winemakers and explore the riches of Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River valleys at the 37th annual Barrel Tasting events on March 6–8 and March 13–15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Over 100 wineries will participate, and guests will have the chance to purchase rare “futures,” limited-edition wines that will be bottled 12 to 18 months from now.
